It's a Dirty Job, But... Sometimes, bigger isn't better. Too bad employees of Blucor Contracting company
had to figure it out the hard way. OSHA has issued the Arizona construction
company four citations since last November. Why? Well, it seems workers have a fascination for misusing heavy equipment
to build extremely tall walls of dirt when they're supposed to be breaking ground
for construction. One of Blucor's sites was recently deemed unsafe, and employees were told
to stay away from the site until further notice. However, 36-year-old Raymundo
Perez-Moreno determined the warning wasn't serious. They found his body two days ago. Apparently, the wall he had constructed -- which was approximately 35 feet
high and 30 feet wide -- collapsed. Authorities are uncertain why he returned to the site, but it took them more
than six hours to extract him.
