Narrow Escapist

Larry Blanchfield, 31, was an inmate and criminal mastermind at the Delaware Correctional Center. Serving a life sentence and facing a lifetime in prison, he secretly devised a crafty plan of escape.

On the planned day of freedom he slipped past the guards and brilliantly leaped in the back of a municipal garbage truck. Before leaving the facility sanitation workers followed proper procedure, compacting the garbage. Blanchfield's body was slowly crushed to death amidst the prison waste.
