Man Digs Poodle
Still think poodles are adorable little fluffballs whose bark is bigger
than their brain? Richard Bledsoe of Atlanta would beg to disagree. Bledsoe
said he was only defending himself when he used a shovel to bludgeon his
mom's toy poodle, Trouble, to death. Claiming the vicious little canine
had attacked him, Bledsoe cornered Trouble and beat it to death, in full
view of some neighbors who didn't seem to share Bledsoe's assessment of
the danger.
"It was just an awful sight to see," said neighbor Patricia Sykes, who
witnessed the fight with her two grandchildren. "It really bothered them
seeing an innocent dog that couldn't defend itself. It was just like seeing
an innocent baby up against a brick wall." Police confirmed that Bledsoe
had a bite mark on his little finger but had him charged with animal cruelty,
anyway.
