What the Flock?
On Thursday, travelling Bedouins in Marsah Matrouh, Egypt found the body
of 20-year-old Makhtar Fadl, dead, with a shotgun wound to the chest.
Local authorities who investigated the scene said the shepherd was shot
and killed when one of his flock jostled his loaded shotgun as he slept.
The sheep in question has been known as the black sheep of the flock and
has a prior record of deviance. How the police came to the conclusion
that the shepherd was killed by the sheep is not quite clear due to the
absence of witnesses. The current percentage of "sheep crime" in Northern
Egypt was not available at press time.
