The Dead Line
Ricky D. Larson formerly of Mable, MN was found dead in the back of a
pick-up truck in Wisconsin, on January 12. There are no leads as to the
whereabouts of his murderer, and there won't be for a little while. The
problem "lies" where Ricky was lying at the time. He was lying directly
on the line between the La Crosse city limits and the Onalaska city limits.
While the murder trail is quickly getting cold, the Onalaska and LaCrosse
Police Departments are still deciding who should pay for the murder investigation.
If in LaCrosse, it would be the resonsibility of the city police. If in
Onalaska, it would be a county sherriff investigation. Surveyors are being
brought in to see exactly where the city limits are. There is no word
as to when the investigation will actually begin.
