Plowed A 34-year-old Hastings, Nebraska man was arrested Thursday morning after stealing a city snowplow. Even cops were amazed at how easy the suspect was to apprehend, mainly because the guy stopped at a local Pump and Pantry to fill up the tank on the plow and buy a case of beer. And he paid for it all with a personal check. He even showed the clerk ID. Police were alerted by the alarmed clerk who took the check. After a search of the surrounding neighborhood police eventually found the snowplow parked at a local elementary school. The man was picked up at a residence not much further down the road. "Criminals like these make it easy for police to do their jobs," Grand Island police Capt. Larry Trosper said. --DailyDarwin.com Staff
